人気のクラス、マット先生の「英語で科学を楽しもう」クラスの2023年度後期開講スケジュールが決まりました。これまでは、「食物」「呼吸」「飛行と宇宙」「神経」「重力と軌道」「原子や量子」などを学びました。
関連する単語を学んだり、わかりやすいビデオを見ながら、マット先生が解説してくれます。
科学クラスで学ぶ内容は、日常ニュースで聞く内容がよりわかるようになったり、英検や大学受験（英語）の内容に繋がることもあるので、大人の方だけでなく学生の皆さんにもおススメです。
オンライン開催を検討していましたが、今回も名古屋YWCAにて対面形式で行います。

【The Topics for the Autumn-Winter 2023 Science Classes】
Day1（Oct. 14th），Day2（Oct. 21st）: The Human Eye
The course will delve into the mechanics of how the eye works and explore some unique qualities of our eyes. We will learn about the anatomy of the eye, how it captures light, and how our brain interprets the images. We will also explore how our eyes differ from those of other animals.
人間の目：このコースでは、目の仕組みについて詳しく掘り下げ、私たちの目の独自の特性について探求します。私たちは目の解剖学、光の捉え方、そして脳が画像を解釈する方法について学びます。また、他の動物の目と私たちの目の違いについても探求します。
Day3（Nov. 4th），Day4（Nov. 18st）: Classification of Animals
This course will explore the science of classification and its importance in defining the natural world. We will learn about the primary classifications of the animal kingdom and how they are determined by shared characteristics. We will also examine peculiar animals that may fit more than one classification.
動物の分類：このコースでは、分類学の科学とその自然界の定義における重要性を探求します。動物界の主要な分類について学び、それらが共通の特徴によってどのように決定されるかを理解します。また、複数の分類に当てはまるかもしれない特異な動物についても検討します。
Day5（Dec. 2nd），Day4（Jan. 20st）: Chemical Reactions
This course will cover the main types of chemical reactions and provide an introduction to chemistry. We will learn about the basics of transforming one chemical substance to another and explore how this knowledge can be applied to daily items like table salt, gasoline, and others.
化学反応：このコースでは、主要な種類の化学反応をカバーし、化学への導入を提供します。1つの化学物質を別のものに変える基本的な原理について学び、この知識が食卓塩、ガソリンなどの日常品にどのように応用されるかを探究します。
Day7（Feb. 3rd），Day8（Feb. 17st）: Ecosystems
This course will explore what lives where it lives with what around it in ecosystems. We will learn about the different types of environments on our planet and how they differ from each other. We will also examine the life cycles of these ecosystems.
生態系：このコースでは、生態系内で何がどこで生息し、その周囲に何が存在するかについて探求します。地球上の異なる環境の種類について学び、それらがどのように異なるかを理解します。また、これらの生態系の生活サイクルについても検討します。
Day9（Mar. 2nd），Day10（Mar. 16th）: Generating Electricity
The last topic will be about electricity, its power in innovation, technology, and everyday life. We will learn what electricity is, how it is generated, and different sources of power we can use to keep our lives moving.
電力の生成：最後のトピックは電力に関するもので、その革新、技術、そして日常生活における力についてです。電力とは何か、どのように生成されるか、私たちの生活を動かすために使用できるさまざまな電力源について学びます。
